Sanitized is a Southern suburban coming of age novel and reflection on what I like to refer to as Shakespeare's "Teen Angst Trilogy": Romeo and Juliet, Hamlet, and Henry IV. It is the story of three high school friends and lovers who, through circumstance and choice, travel the bayou region of the Southeast learning the depth of their own interdependence and the impact of their lives as individuals.

Awards: Thanks to the North Carolina Arts Council. Based on their review of Sanitized, the North Carolina Arts Council awarded a grant to attend the Headlands Center for the Arts residency program.
